100 W solar street light with dual 4G camera, 4 MP (LS-C100)

Overview

The LS-C100 is a solar street light with CCTV camera: 100 W nominal LED, dual 4G camera 4 MP, IP65, 12–16 h of light per night depending on the dimming profile, for construction sites, farms, gates, car parks and douar squares in Morocco with no grid and no fibre. A 4G SIM from a Moroccan operator (Maroc Telecom, Orange or inwi) is all it needs: the picture is viewed on a smartphone, with no cable and no trench. The light mounts on a Moroccan-made pole, at a height chosen for the field of view you want.

The light deters, the camera records: it is an anti-theft solar street light as much as stand-alone outdoor lighting. The 100 W figure is the nominal LED power, not the average draw: the controller dims through the night, and the camera also draws power by day. Panel (Wp) and battery (Wh) are therefore sized for each site using December irradiation — 2.58 kWh/m²/day in Tangier, 2.99 in Casablanca, 3.81 in Ouarzazate (PVGIS-SARAH2 2005-2020, JRC) — and are printed on your order's datasheet; autonomy depends on irradiation and on the dimming profile. In Morocco, 87.7 % of mobile connections are broadband (DataReportal, Digital 2026), but the coverage of a douar is tested on site, at pole height, before ordering.

How does a solar street light with camera protect a fleet of solar street lights?

The first operating risk of a fleet of solar street lights is not failure, it is theft: the panel, the battery, sometimes the whole head, on a track or a douar square with nobody around at night. An LS-C100 placed at the head of a section, on the most visible pole, films the access and the neighbouring poles; the manager — commune, syndic, consulting engineer, regional multi-service utility — sees remotely, on a phone, that the light points are lit, or that a panel has gone, and documents the incident. That is theft and failure detection without a site visit, complementary to the unique identification marking (reference, year, battery) required by NM 06.8.001 §9 for solar street lights. Road lighting weighs 30–40 % of a local authority's energy consumption (IMANOR guide, February 2026): every undetected night of failure costs safety, every unsolved theft costs equipment. 4G network, SIM card, data and energy: what to plan for

The camera transmits over 4G: you need a data SIM from a Moroccan operator (Maroc Telecom, Orange or inwi), in the customer's name, with a plan matching the volume of video viewed. In Morocco, 87.7 % of the 57.1 million mobile connections are broadband and the median mobile download speed is 60.31 Mbit/s (DataReportal, Digital 2026 Morocco); but the coverage of a douar or an isolated farm varies from one pole to the next: test the signal at the exact spot, at pole-top height, with the chosen SIM, before ordering. On the energy side the camera also draws power by day: the panel and the battery are sized for the site using December irradiation (2.58 kWh/m²/day in Tangier, 2.99 in Casablanca, 3.81 in Ouarzazate — PVGIS-SARAH2 2005-2020, JRC), not on summer; the Wp and Wh values are printed on your order's datasheet. Under inland summers (mean daily maximum 37–38 °C in Marrakech in July–August, national record 50.4 °C in Agadir on 11 August 2023) a lithium battery loses service life: according to a study published in 2024, the cycle life of a LiFePO4 cell is about 23 % shorter at 45 °C than at 25 °C — hence a capacity chosen with margin. Finally, filming a place open to the public falls under law 09-08 on personal data protection: plan the signage and the formality with the CNDP. The pole is Moroccan-made (25 % safeguard duty on imported poles, HS 7308.90.10); the customs classification of the luminaire is confirmed by our customs broker.
