Overview

The LS-H30 30 W solar street light head replaces a sodium luminaire or a failed head on an existing 4–5 m pole: 30 W nominal LED, 20 Wp integrated or companion panel, IP65, autonomy of 12–16 h per night on the default profile. The pole stays in place, no trench, no mains cable, no bill: the retrofit is done in one visit with a bucket truck or a ladder. It is the retrofit model for lotissement lanes, residence paths, douar alleys and car parks where 4–5 m poles still carry dead sodium lanterns or hang on a grid that no longer keeps up. Because the existing pole is kept, no pole is imported and the 25 % safeguard duty on poles (HS 7308.90.10) does not apply; the customs classification of the head is confirmed by our customs broker. Moroccan standard NM 06.8.001 explicitly covers all-in-one solar modules mounted on existing poles.

Autonomy depends on irradiation (sized for December) and on the dimming profile; at 30 W the LS-H30 targets classes P4–P5 for footpaths and alleys (indicative selection under NM EN 13201). It is built at our ISO-certified manufacturing base in South China and supported by LALOGO from Casablanca.

How do you retrofit a sodium pole without trenching?

The retrofit takes four steps: remove the old sodium lantern and its ballast, isolate or remove the mains cable at the pole base, fix the LS-H30 head on the existing shaft or bracket (tilting mount, fixing diameter stated on the datasheet), then set the profile with the remote. A two-person crew with a bucket truck handles several dozen poles a day; there is no trench, no cable, no cabinet and no electricity bill for those points.

The retained pole must be sound: LALOGO recommends a visual check of the galvanising and the foundation, especially within one kilometre of the sea (corrosivity class C4–C5 under our ISO 9223 engineering classification), and A4 stainless fasteners on the coast. The companion panel sits at the top, facing south, clear of tree and façade shadows; NM 06.8.001 requires the lower edge of the PV module to be at least 3 m above ground.

Compliance and customs: what the LS-H30 head covers

The NM 06.8.001 standard "Solar LED street lights – General requirements" (IMANOR, 2024) includes all-in-one solar modules mounted on existing poles in its scope; the LALOGO file is in progress and we print the clauses of public enquiry EP 52/2024 until the homologated text is available. The required marking (unique ID, trademark, year, battery identification, reference NM 06.8.001) and the Arabic manual are supplied on request. The luminaire refers to IEC 60598-1 and IEC 60598-2-3; Cم file and test reports on request.

On the customs side, the head alone contains no pole: the 25 % safeguard duty on imported poles (HS 7308.90.10, all origins, definitive since March 2025) does not concern this retrofit. The customs classification of the luminaire is confirmed by our customs broker before shipment; no LALOGO page claims an exemption until the binding ruling is issued.
