Overview

The LS-H60 60 W solar street light head is LALOGO's reference retrofit head: 60 W nominal LED, 40 Wp panel, IP65, autonomy of 12–16 h per night on the default profile, mounted on your existing 5–6 m sodium poles with no trench, no cable and no bill. It replaces a high-pressure sodium (HPS) lantern on communal roads, lotissement streets and douar roads whose grid is worn out or was never connected. The retrofit principle fits in one sentence: the pole stays, the head changes. No pole is imported, so the 25 % safeguard duty on poles (HS 7308.90.10, all origins) does not weigh on the operation and the budget goes entirely into light and energy; the customs classification of the luminaire is confirmed by our customs broker. The NM 06.8.001 standard (IMANOR, 2024) expressly includes all-in-one solar modules mounted on existing poles; the LALOGO file is in progress.

At 60 W LED on a 5–6 m pole, the LS-H60 targets classes P3–P4 for lotissement streets and M6 / P4–P5 for douar roads (indicative selection under NM EN 13201, photometric study on request). Autonomy depends on irradiation (sized for December) and on the dimming profile. The head is built at our ISO-certified manufacturing base in South China and supported by LALOGO from Casablanca.

Why retrofit sodium poles with a solar head rather than replace the whole street light?

A complete imported street light adds up three items: the pole, the luminaire and the civil works. The imported pole carries a 25 % safeguard duty (HS 7308.90.10, all origins, definitive since March 2025); civil works (foundation, trench, cable, cabinet) are often the most expensive item of a new point. The LS-H60 head removes both: it reuses the galvanised pole and its foundation, mounts in place of the HPS lantern and needs no grid. The budget goes into light (60 W LED) and energy (40 Wp, battery sized for December).

In operation, a solar head wipes out the bill for those points and the grid outages; lighting represents 30–40 % of a local authority's energy consumption (IMANOR guide, February 2026). Each head carries the marking foreseen by NM 06.8.001 (unique ID, trademark, year, battery identification) that feeds the maintenance register; the standard requires a battery accessible without removing the panel. The retained pole is checked before installation: galvanising, foundation, A4 stainless fasteners within one kilometre of the sea.

NM 06.8.001 "Solar LED street lights – General requirements" (IMANOR, 2024, public enquiry EP 52/2024) sets for luminaires an efficacy of at least 130 lm/W, an autonomy test of 16 h continuous at not less than 40 % flux at 25 °C, a controller with astronomical clock and 0–100 % dimming, a battery and a controller with a service life of at least 5 years, and a marking with unique ID and the reference "NM 06.8.001". The clauses quoted come from the September 2024 draft; the homologated text is purchased from IMANOR. The LALOGO file is in progress and the operation manual is supplied in Arabic and French. The luminaire refers to IEC 60598-1 and IEC 60598-2-3; the Cم declaration of conformity (Law 24-09, Orders 2573-14 and 2574-14) and test reports are supplied on request.

On the customs side, the head alone includes no pole: the 25 % safeguard duty on imported poles does not apply. The 27 % anti-dumping duty (HS 9405.42.00.10) targets Chinese-origin LED luminaires for urban roads; the customs classification of every LALOGO head is confirmed by our customs broker and no exemption is claimed before the binding ruling is issued.
