A solar street light in Dakhla is sized, in the absence of a PVGIS value for the city in our fact pack, on the nearest reference, Laâyoune: 3.97 kWh/m²/day in December, 5.71 tilted at 27°, 13.6 h night — PVGIS-SARAH2 2005-2020, JRC, astronomical computation — then on the exact PVGIS extraction for the site before the quote. Further south still, winter is no weaker. An LS-A60 (60 Wp, 192 Wh) harvests at least 60 × 3.97 × 0.72 ≈ 172 Wh per December day (system efficiency 0.72, engineering assumption); the flat-panel all-in-one, without a ground box, suits most sites.

Salt, wind and distance

Dakhla is a peninsula between lagoon and ocean: almost every site there is within one kilometre of salt water, hence classes C4–C5 under LALOGO's engineering classification based on ISO 9223. The IP66 coastal version with marine-grade coating, the NM ISO 1461 hot-dip galvanised pole with ISO 12944 paint and stainless fasteners are specified by default; salt-spray report on request, fresh-water rinsing of bollards and wall lights written into the manual. The wind, an asset for kitesurfers, is a design input for the pole: wind resistance supplied by the Moroccan fabricator (value on request), LS-K wind-solar hybrid kit an option on exposed sites.

The communes of Dakhla, El Argoub, Bir Gandouz and Aousserd for their districts, centres and crossing points (LS-A60 / LS-A80 on a Moroccan-made 4–6 m pole, LS-F100 / LS-F200 on squares, LS-C100 at isolated entrances); the port of Dakhla, fishing, aquaculture and packing units (LS-A120 / LS-A140 in coastal version, LS-F200 on docks); hotels, kitesurf camps and ecolodges on the lagoon and at Dragon Point (3000 K garden range, LS-W50R, LS-G50, LS-A50C); greenhouse perimeters and livestock farms (LS-F100, LS-M). The pole is Moroccan-made (25 % safeguard duty on imported poles, HS 7308.90.10); the customs classification of the luminaire is confirmed by our forwarder. Public contracts: FR/AR datasheets, Cم declaration, IES/LDT on request, NM 06.8.001 / NM EN 13201 wording (NM 06.8.001 file in progress). Delivery from Casablanca by road: more than 1,500 km, a lead time to plan from the order, consolidation possible with Laâyoune; commissioning with the site manager. Autonomy: up to 12 h per night, 3–5 days of reserve at the default profile, depending on irradiation and dimming profile.
