An LS-A60 (60 Wp, 192 Wh) harvests 60 × 3.81 × 0.72 ≈ 165 Wh per December day there (system efficiency 0.72, engineering assumption), an LS-A80 ≈ 219 Wh. Heat, frost and sand: which model?

Ouarzazate shows a 38.8 °C mean daily maximum in July, a record of 43.6 °C, a mean minimum of 1.8 °C in January and a record of −7.0 °C. A closed housing in full July sun exceeds the 45 °C above which a LiFePO4 cell loses ≈ 23 % of its cycle life according to a study published in 2024 (LALOGO engineering reasoning); below 0 °C the BMS locks charging until sunrise. For roads and ksour we therefore propose the LS-S60 / LS-S80 split kit, tilted panel and 12.8 V battery in a buried box or cast into the foundation (allowed by NM 06.8.001); the LS-A60 / LS-A80 all-in-one units (−20 °C to +65 °C) remain relevant on car parks, paths and douars with a flexible dimming profile. The Chergui deposits sand on the panels: rinsing after each episode, written into the Arabic maintenance manual; IP65 housings, IP66 on floodlights.
